A gold color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height overall consisting of a light blue spur gear encircling a crimson fireball emitting overall through the top and bottom a gold flash and from each side a gold flame and bearing in the center a gold shell, behind the gear on each side a gold vertical bamboo stalk with green leaves at the top and looped in base by a curved crimson scroll inscribed NO DELAY in gold letters.
Crimson and light blue are colors used for Maintenance. The crimson fireball denotes the units historic descent from the 67th Ordnance Company. The gold shell refers to service in the Western Pacific, World War II for which the organization was awarded the Meritorious Unit Citation. The gear, flashes, and flames allude to the maintenance companys mechanical, electronic, and armament maintenance capabilities. The bamboo connotes the support mission and service in Vietnam.
The distinctive unit insignia was approved on 17 July 1968.
